Dr. Michael Shea will be leaving Cardiovascular Physicians of Delaware effective September 25, 2026, as he and his family relocate to be closer to their extended family. After 15+ years of caring for patients in Delaware, Dr. Shea is deeply grateful for the trust his patients and their families have placed in him. Patients will continue to receive care at their currently scheduled appointment time and location with Dr. Rabya Saraf.
About Dr. Shea
Dr. Michael Shea is a board-certified cardiologist with certifications in Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography. He earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital through the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He subsequently pursued advanced subspecialty training in heart failure and heart transplant management at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and cardiovascular disease at Albany Medical Center.
In practice since 2010, Dr. Shea provides care for patients across a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, with a particular focus on the diagnosis, prevention, and long-term management of heart disease, including congestive heart failure and complex chronic cardiac conditions. He also interprets noninvasive cardiac testing as part of a comprehensive approach to evaluating and managing heart health.
